Return Policy (Request RMA)

Unless noted below or in the product description, most products can be returned directly to totalbarcode.com within 15 days from the date of invoice if all of the following requirements are met. Items returned must first be issued a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. RMA numbers are valid for 15 days only. Please allow 2-4 weeks to process refunds and credit your account. Our Return Policy for software is consistent with the manufacturer’s license agreement. We do not accept returns of Print heads, Bar Code Media, Printer Media, Software or Symbol Service Contracts. For certain items all sales are final and returns are not available, see product descriptions for information.

Products can only be exchanged for other products on the site, which must be purchased prior to authorizing the return. In order for the return to be accepted, all products must 1) be returned in their original packaging, 2) include all manuals, cables, warranty cards, etc., 3) be clean, without scratches and resealed in a factory fresh condition. All products must be returned double boxed, with no markings or writing on the original box. If a product shows signs that the entire product and packaging was removed from its original box, a refund may be denied resulting in shipment of the product back to the customer. Freight charges are not refundable. Customer is responsible for shipping costs on returned items. If the returned item meets all the above requirements, it will be accepted and a restocking fee will be applied depending on the sale value of the returned items:


General Inventory Restocking Fees:
  1. 5% of purchase price (minimum $15) if a product(s) of equal or greater value is purchased as a replacement
  2. 10% of purchase price (minimum $35) if a product(s) of lesser value is purchased as a replacement
  3. *on orders over $2500, a restocking fee of up to 25% may be applied in certain instances

Refusal Fees:

  1. A $25.00 refusal fee will apply to all items that are not accepted by customer upon delivery.


Freight charges:

Freight charges for all returns are not refundable. Customer is responsible for shipping costs on returned items.


DOA Policy:

If a product arrives Dead On Arrival (DOA), contact us immediately or fill out the online RMA request form. Most products (excluding software and consumables) can be returned if DOA within 15 days of invoice. Products can only be exchanged for another product. Customer is responsible for shipping costs on returned items unless noted otherwise by totalbarcode.com. If a product is DOA, these steps must be followed to ensure expedient approval:

  1. Contact the manufacturer of the product to test and determine the fault of said product.
  2. Write down the name, contact information, and any incident or case numbers associated with the product.
  3. Fill out the RMA Form, making sure to put the above information in the notes section.
If these steps are not followed fully, the RMA will not be accepted and the product will be shipped back.

Payments

We accept Master card, Visa and American Express credit cards. Please call for Purchase Orders or download our credit application form.


Shipping

Shipping is FREE with orders over $25 to the Continental United States & Canada only. Free shipping method is ground shipping.

Orders less than $25.00 will be charged a $10.00 Shipping Fee.

All orders with overnight shipping will include additional shipping charges. Charges will be specified in the checkout page

Saturday delivery not available in all areas.

All orders to Alaska and Hawaii will ship 2-Day Air only.

All orders to Alaska and Hawaii will include a minimal additional shipping charge of $20. Depending on the items an additional shipping charge may be required. A sales representative will contact you regarding any additional charges.

Shipping address must be a residential or business address. We will not ship to a PO Box.

Back Ordered Items

Back ordered items are set to ship as soon as they become available. You will be contacted by email letting you know if any items are backordered. Back ordered items can be exchanged for an in stock item or canceled for a full refund. Please contact customerservice@totalbarcode.com for additional help.

Price Matching

If you have found a better price for an item at another authorized dealer, we will do everything possible to meet or beat that price. Please email customerservice@totalbarcode.com the necessary information, including product, price, and website, and we will get back to you quickly.

Price matching is only applicable to identical conditions of sale. The item must be in stock at the other authorized dealer (not a floor sample, "open box" item, refurbished or demo piece) and not be a club "members price" or typographical error. This offer does not apply to items advertised below our dealer cost. This offer applies to new purchases only. Logic Controls 1 year warranty.  DOA - 30 days.

24 month warranty from date of manufacture. Voyager Series - 5 years.  DOA - 30 days.

Paxar Corporation All printers have a 1 year limited depot level warranty.  Thermal print heads are covered by a prorated limited warranty of 6 months or one million inches of use.  Batteries and cables are covered by a prorated limited warranty of 3 months form the date of shipment.  Physical damage to batteries, cables and/or print heads are not covered by the limited warranty.  DOA - 30 days from invoice date.

PSC/Percon

QuickScan 1000 - 24 months, QuickScan 6000 - 60 months, PowerScan - 24 months, Magellan - 12 months, IP products - 30 months, decoders - 60 months, and support on software - resolution of one incident free.  Maintenance agreements are required for resolution of additional incidences.  DOA - 30 days from invoice date.

RioScan 30 day warranty.  DOA - 30 days.

1 year warranty. DOA - 30 days from invoice date.

1 year warranty on printers, 1 year or 500,000 linear inches on print heads, whichever comes first. DOA - 30 days from invoice date.

All scanners and terminals have a 1 year warranty except the following: LS1900, LS 2100, LS 4000 have a 5 year warranty; LS 9100, M2000, have a 3 year warranty; LS407x has a 2 year warranty; Datawands and serialized accessories have a 90 day warranty, unserialized accessories have 30 day warranty.  DOA - 15 days.

Teklynx 90 day warranty on software.  1 year warranty on non-functioning hardware (does no include damage by lightning or misuse.) Must contact , not Teklynx.  DOA - 30 days from invoice date.
Unitech 1 year warranty.  DOA - 30 days.
Verifone 1 year repair. 1-800-654-1684.  Call Verifone direct for DOA information.

Finally, the Customer also agrees not to bring any legal action, based upon any legal theory including contract, tort, equity or otherwise, against MGM that is more than one year after the date of the applicable invoice.

SEVERABILITY If any provision contained in this agreement is or becomes invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in whole or in part, such invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability shall not affect the remaining provisions and portions of this agreement, and the invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision shall be deemed modified so as to have the most similar result that is valid and enforceable under applicable Washington law.

  6. WAIVER The failure of either party to require performance by the other party of any provision of this agreement shall not affect in any way the first party's right to require such performance at any time thereafter. Any waiver by either party of a breach of any provision in this agreement shall not be taken or held by the other party to be a continuing waiver of that provision unless such waiver is made in writing.

  7. ENTIRE AGREEMENT These terms and conditions, together with the MGM invoice respecting the products ordered by Customer, are the complete and exclusive agreement between MGM and Customer, and they supersede all prior or contemporaneous proposals, oral or written, understandings, representations, conditions, warranties, and all other communications between MGM and Customer relating to the subject products. This agreement may not be explained or supplemented by any prior course of dealings or trade by custom or usage.

  8. COPYRIGHT All content included on this site is the property of MGM or their content suppliers and protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. The compilation (meaning the collection, arrangement and assembly) of all content on this site is the exclusive property of MGM protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. The content and software on this site may be used only as a shopping resource. Any other use, including the reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, republication, display or performance of the content on this site is strictly prohibited.

  9. RIGHT OF REFUSAL We reserve the right to limit quantities and to reject orders at our discretion.
